The site of a hotel opened in 1847 in Chattanooga, TN saw a lot of war and death, but the Read House Hotel was a luxurious, elegant place for visitors coming through the city on the railroad. Today, some spirits still linger in the hotel, especially the ghost of a woman who died in Room 311.
