Taylor Parker murdered 21‑year‑old Reagan Simmons‑Hancock on October 9, 2020, in Reagan’s New Boston, Texas home while Reagan was 36 weeks pregnant. Parker had spent nearly a YEAR faking her own pregnancy, and when her supposed due date passed, she became desperate to maintain the lie. Parker attacked Reagan, then performed a crude, unauthorized C‑section to remove Reagan’s unborn daughter, Braxlynn Sage. Parker fled with the baby and falsely claimed she had given birth on the side of the road. Doctors quickly determined she had not given birth, and investigators connected her to the murder scene, where Reagan’s body was found. Parker was arrested that same day and ultimately convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in 2022.
