Episode 431: Winnie Ruth Judd

Winnie Ruth Judd was a medical secretary in the 1930s when she killed her two friends, Anne LeRoi and Sarah Samuelson, allegedly over the affections of a man. She proceeded to put their bodies in trunks and travel to Los Angeles, where she was eventually caught. Her story doesn’t end there, though, because there were appeals, changes to sentences, escapes, and more before her death in 1998.
