Episode 401: Susan Walsh

Susan Walsh was a freelance journalist and writer who mysteriously disappeared on July 16, 1996, outside her home in Nutley, New Jersey. She had been investigating topics such as the Russian mafia and New York City's underground vampire community, which led to speculation about her disappearance. Suasan had a complex life—she worked as an exotic dancer to support herself while pursuing a degree in English at New York University. She had also struggled with substance abuse, though she had maintained 11 years of sobrietybefore her disappearance. To this day Susan’s case remains unsolved, and theories range from foul play to voluntary disappearance. The Nutley Police Department continues to investigate Susan’s case and anyone with information is urged to contact them at 973-284-4940 or the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit at 800-709-7090.
