December Patreon: The Murders of Angela Brosso and Melanie Bernas
In the early 1990s, two young women in Phoenix, 21 year old Angela Brosso and 17 year old Melanie Bernas, were murdered while riding their bikes near the same canal. The attacks were extremely violent, and police believed they were connected, but they couldn’t find the killer at the time.
For more than 20 years, the case went cold.
In 2015, new DNA technology led investigators to Bryan Patrick Miller, a local man who had been only 20 when the murders happened, finally solving one of Phoenix’s most infamous cold cases.
